OPP packing tape

OPP packing tape

OPP tape is a type of carton sealing tape with good toughness and adhesion, most commonly used in the market and used by businesses in the process of packaging and transporting goods.

Material

OPP tape is made from Biaxial Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film, BOPP film is produced from Polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic polymer, which melts at a certain temperature and returns to a solid state when cooled. After melting, PP plastic will be stretched in two directions to form a transparent film. Next, the BOPP film is combined with an adhesive layer on one side to form the OPP tape product.

The adhesive layer used is Acrylic water glue or hot melt synthetic rubber. The BOPP film through the glue coating line on one side is passed through a suitable temperature boiler so that the adhesive layer dries to form a transparent adhesive layer on the film surface. Each type of glue has its own advantages, OPP tape uses water-based Acrylic glue which has better heat resistance, or better UV resistance than synthetic rubber glue.

Product specifications

OPP carton sealing tape has an average thickness of 30 to 65 microns, this is the overall thickness including film thickness and glue thickness. The length of OPP tape rolls can be produced from the smallest length of 5 yards (yards) to the largest length of 2000 yards (yards) on a product roll. The width can be from 5mm to a maximum of 1250mm depending on customer requirements. OPP carton sealing tape is very diverse in color: Transparent, opaque, red, yellow, orange, blue, …
