Carton cores are cylindrical, elongated, and are often used as paper roll cores, food wrap cores, and adhesive tape cores. To produce carton tubes, it is necessary to press many layers of kraft paper together with a special glue.

Carton cores (hard paper cores) are commonly used in many different industries:

•  Making cores for toilet paper rolls, fax paper rolls, telephone paper rolls, printing paper, etc. in the paper industry.
•  Making cores for rolls of adhesive tapes, adhesive tapes, and shrink film rolls in the packaging industry.
•  Used as core for thread rolls, fabric rolls, carpet rolls or as a holder for winding POY, DTY in the textile industry.
•  Making steel coil cores, corrugated iron coil cores, aluminum coils, stainless steel coils, etc. in the steel industry
•  In addition, in some other industries, cardboard tubes are used as heat pipes, electrical cores, civil construction, drainage pipes; pyro industrial cores and tubular containers such as tea and coffee boxes.
